Actor and pop culture gem Charlie Sheen has sold his 6,625-square-feet gated manor in the Mulholland Estates for $5.4 million. That’s slightly above what he paid for it in late 2012, but substantially below its asking price of $6.1 million, Variety reported.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom property on Beresford Road has a giant foyer, formal living room with stone columns, formal dining room and screening room.

French doors lead to the backyard, where there are multiple terraces, a grilling station, a fire pit and a swimming pool with spa.

Sheen has bought two other properties in Mulholland Estates, including a 9,000-square-foot Mediterranean pad that he bought for $7 million and sold for $6.6 million. The third is another Mediterranean — a 7,924-square-footer he picked in 2006 for $7.2 million and continues to own.

The “Two and a Half Men” star had a very public meltdown in 2011. Last fall, he announced that he was HIV positive and has since become an advocate for HIV awareness. He will appear in the upcoming film “Nine Eleven” alongside Whoopi Goldberg. [Variety]Cathaleen Chen
