Proper Hospitality has properly announced its latest venture — the Santa Monica Proper, slated to rise at the corner of Seventh Street and Wilshire Boulevard.

Created by Kor Group’s Brad Korzen and his wife, celeb interior designer Kelly Wearstler, the SaMo project will be the third Proper hotel to open in the Los Angeles area, Curbed reported.

The development will entail the renovation of an existing, 1928-built Spanish Revival-style building as well as the construction of an additional seven-story structure around it.

The resulting complex will have 271 rooms; a rooftop pool and lounge; and 16,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Construction is slated for completion in the winter of 2018 or 2019. [Curbed] — Cathaleen Chen
