A Paul Williams-designed home in Brentwood once saved from the wrecking ball by Disney CEO Bob Iger has hit the market for $16.95 million.

The Oakmont Drive property, which is known as the Hunt Residence, was nearly demolished by owner Robert Hanasab in 2013 before neighbors like Iger stepped in to protect it by alerting the city of its historic provenance. The house has since been designated a local landmark.

The one-story house, where Michelle Pfeiffer once lived, dates back to 1940 and sits on a 54,000-square-foot lot. It can be expanded into a larger compound, according to the listing by Mary Lu Tuthill of Coldwell Banker. Tuthill was not immediately available for comment.

The 3,867, four-bedroom house on the site was originally commissioned by Nelle Payton Hunt, the widow of paper company executive Willis Hunt, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Hanasab bought it for $8.58 million in 2005, records show.

The Oakmont section of Brentwood is home to a who’s who of L.A. power players, such as Howard Marks of Oaktree Capital and multibillionaire Eli Broad.
