The first rule of Fight Club is…buy below ask?

“Fight Club” star Edward Norton snagged a second home in Malibu Colony for roughly half its original asking price.

Norton, by way of an LLC, paid $11.8 million for the estate known as “Steven’s House” by the famous architect John Lautner, Trulia reported. The property was listed four years ago for $22 million. Its most recent listing price was $13.8 million.

The seller is movie producer Michael LaFetra, who bought it in 2007 and restored it, reversing some changes made by previous owners. The estate on the Malibu coastline is now a California State Cultural Landmark.
