New York transplants, rejoice. The pizza options in Los Angeles are looking a lot less dismal.

Brooklyn staple Roberta’s is leasing a space at the Culver City Platform project at 8850 Washington Boulevard, Eater reported.

The pizzeria had been running a pop-up outside the property for some time, but that closed earlier this year. The Platform project plays host to Loqui, Blue Bottle Coffee, Hayden, SoulCycle and Tom Dixon.

Representatives for Roberta’s and the Platform project declined to comment, but Eater said its sources confirmed the deal.

The move out west isn’t a new trope for New York staples. Eataly, another famous Italian eatery from the Big Apple, is slated to open this Fall at 10250 Santa Monica Boulevard.

Roberta’s, which is famous for its wood-fired pizza and reasonable prices, is in the midst of launching a pop-up in Miami slated to open in October. Culver City’s debut is expected to hit middle to late 2018. [Eater] – Natalie Hoberman
