Paul McClean-designed spec home in Hollywood Hills seeks $40M
The property sits on one acre above the Sunset Strip

A new Paul McClean-designed estate at 1415 Devlin Drive in the Hollywood Hills is now seeking an off-market buyer for $39.95 million, The Real Deal has learned.
Developed in partnership with McKillen Developments, the 12,000-square-foot residence boasts eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms across three stories. Amenities at the one-acre modernist property include a home theatre, a sauna and a steam room, a gym, a double-gated entry planked by olive trees, and a half-moon, 100-square-foot long infinity pool. Views of Downtown to Santa Monica surround the estate.

McKillen Developments, a family development company owned by high-profile property investor Paddy McKillen, acquired the tear-down on site in November 2013 for $4.9 million, property records show.
Tyrone McKillen shares the listing with Branden Williams and Rayni Williams of Hilton & Hyland. McKillen is also a broker with Hilton & Hyland.
McClean, who often works with mega-developer Nile Niami, has become somewhat of a household name in the high-end design space. His architecture firm, McClean Design, has worked with clients including Calvin Klein, the Winklevoss Twins and DJ Avicci. He is currently developing Niami’s $500 million spec at 944 Airole Way in Bel Air.
McKillen was also behind the 9,300-square-foot Hollywood Hills home on the famous “Bird Streets,” purchased by fashion designer Calvin Klein for $25 million. Tyrone McKillen, son of Paddy McKillen, is also seeking a $50 million buyer for 800 Stradella Road, according to his website.
