Korda Group plans 158-unit multifamily property near Dodgers Stadium
The six-story building is expected to break ground in the fall
Korda Group is aiming for a home run near Dodgers Stadium.
The Westside-based multifamily developer has proposed a six-story building with 158 apartments at Stadium Way in Echo Park, Urbanize reported.
There will be a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom units at the property, set to rise above a 246-vehicle garage. Amenities would include a fitness center and swimming pool.
Designed by Nadel Architects, the podium-type building will feature a modern-style building painted in white, red and grey tones.
Construction is expected to break ground in the fall.
The 62,000-square-foot parcel, on a barren hillside, last traded for $7 million in 2014, property records show.
Korda Group, also known as RPK Development, owns and operates apartment communities around Los Angeles. The firm is currently developing the Mansfield, a 138-unit luxury community with an outdoor movie theater and dog wash, at 5100 Wilshire Boulevard.
Development in Echo Park has been on the upswing. Last month, an unspecified developer proposed building a 47-unit multifamily project with affordable housing on Rosenell Terrace.
