Studio behind “Moonlight” inks lease at Pacific Design Center
A24, whose films also include "Lady Bird" and "Ex Machina," will take full floor at Red Building
With a string of recent movie hits, production company A24 has inked a lease for an entire floor at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
A24 is leasing the entire 25,000-square-foot 12th floor of the Red Building, the newest of the three colorful office buildings that make up the 1.6 million-square-foot Pacific Design Center. A24 will vacate its office on Beverly Boulevard.
New York-based A24 produces films and television shows, and has scored hits with “Lady Bird,” “Moonlight” and “Ex Machina” among others. Its television productions include “2 Dope Queens” and the comedy series “Moonbase 8.”
The 400,000-square-foot Red Building was completed in 2011. WeWork inked a 70,000-square-foot lease there in July 2017. Earlier this month, WeWork also signed a deal with Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to bring an film production incubator space to the Red Building that will be called Imagine Impact.
Cohen Brothers Realty owns the Pacific Design Center, a striking architectural landmark on a 14-acre campus that was designed by architect Cesar Pelli. Its other buildings are the Green Building and the Blue Building. Artificial Intelligence firm Poletus signed for 21,000 square feet at the Green Building earlier this year. Other tenants include Grindr, which leases at both the Green Building and Red Building, and finance company Investcloud. [Urbanize] — Dennis Lynch
