This week’s crop of celebrity residential trades and listings featured ties to Hollywood legends, the whiff of a legendary affair, not to mention a modern-day comedian who flips homes on the side.

In Chatsworth, the former crash pad of Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe went on the market for $12.5 million. The Agency has the listing. Sinatra rented the home decades ago, and Monroe once sublet the guest house, where she was rumored to have carried on her affair with President John F. Kennedy. In recent years the Mid-century modern, which has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, four fireplaces and sits on a 7-acre lot, has been used extensively as a filming location for “Mad Men,” the movie “Dreamgirls” and several other productions.

Closer to Los Angeles, in Hancock Park, celebrity interior designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent listed their Spanish Colonial revival for $13.8 million. The couple purchased the 8,500-square-foot home in 2016 for $8.2 million and spruced up the interiors. The property, which was featured in Architectural Digest, dates back to 1928. Along with five bedrooms, it has 17th century marble floors, a screening room, dining room, and a panel-walled library. The home sits on two-thirds of an acre and includes a five-bedroom guesthouse and a 200-year-old oak tree on the property.
Over in La Cañada Flintridge, comedian Adam Corolla purchased a contemporary home for $7.3 million, the Los Angeles Times reported. The 2013 home was designed by architect Vaughan Trammell and features a dumbwaiter that serves all three floors, which have five bedrooms and six bathrooms all together. The home first hit the market in August for $7.5 million, and had traded hands three years earlier for $5.7 million. The 7,300-square-foot home includes a sky-lit dining room under vaulted ceilings, a step-down living room, a movie theater, a gym and a wine cellar. The master suite opens to a private deck, which overlooks the nearly one-acre grounds complete with an infinity-edge pool and spa, two fire pits, a grill and a viewing deck. The comedian, who hosts the popular podcast “The Adam Corolla Show,” has previously sold homes in Malibu, the Hollywood Hills, as well as La Cañada Flintridge.

In trendy Los Feliz, a home used as a workplace for early film legend Cecil B. DeMille sold recently for $8.5 million. DeMille, one of the fathers of modern cinema, purchased the 1915-built home in the 1920s, along with a larger neighboring property to create his estate. The two properties were split again after a 1980s sale. Angelina Jolie purchased the other, larger property, for $24.5 million in 2017. Mary Parent, a film producer who worked on “The Revenant,” sold the smaller home last month for $8.5 million, $400,000 below asking price. The buyer was Ralph Terracciano, the chief financial officer at Terry Hines & Associates, a Burbank marketing agency. The updated 7,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms and six bathrooms, along with a large fireplace in the kitchen, and a screening room. The half-acre property also features a swimming pool. DeMille, who directed “The Ten Commandments,” used the home as a production office, screening room, and guest house until his death in 1959. Actor Charlie Chaplin and his first wife Mildred Harris owned the home before him.
