There’s been a commercial shakeup in the San Fernando Valley.

Newmark Knight Frank has poached a four-person team from Colliers International to lead its new office in Woodland Hills, the company announced Monday.

The commercial brokerage hired John DeGrinis and Patrick DuRoss as executive managing directors. It also tapped Jeff Abraham and Kate Borden as senior managing director and brokerage services specialist, respectively.

Prior to jumping to Newmark, DeGrinis worked at Colliers for more than 33 years. He most recently served as senior executive vice president at the firm. DeGrinis specializes in industrial leasing, sales, land development and tenant representation in the Valley.

DuRoss was a senior vice president at Colliers, where he worked for more than 14 years.

In August, the team brokered a $29 million industrial sale in Chatsworth. DeGrinis, DuRoss and Abraham represented the seller, TA Realty, while an NAI Capital team represented the buyer.

For Newmark, the new office will be its sixth in Los Angeles County. The firm currently has offices in Century City, Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, El Segundo and the City of Industry.
