UPDATED, April 29, 9:32 a.m.: Musician and entertainer Michael Feinstein has dropped the price several octaves on his Los Feliz mansion.

Feinstein chopped the asking for his Tudor Revival estate to $18.9 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. He first listed the home a year ago at $26 million. The reduced price represents a 27% decline.

Last January, Feinstein bought a larger estate in Pasadena.

The 15,200-square-foot Los Feliz property is three stories, and includes six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, a gym, screening room, and wine cellar. There’s also a guest house. Douglas Elliman’s Ernie Carswell, Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon have the listing.

Feinstein and husband Terrance Flannery have owned it for 20 years. They paid $2.5 million for the home in 1998. The Los Feliz estate was built in 1926 and was a Russian consulate property from 1935 until the 1950s. Feinstein and Flannery threw lavish star-studded parties there, one for Liza Minnelli.

They appear to be consolidating their real estate; the pair sold their Upper East Side brownstone for $15.2 million last year.

Feinstein and Flannery’s new Pasadena home is a 20,000-square-foot mansion designed by celebrated architect Lewis P. Hobart.

Feinstein, a Grammy- and Emmy-nominated entertainer, is archivist of the Great American Songbook, an informal collection of cabaret, film, and stage songs written in the first half of the 20th century. [LAT]Dennis Lynch
