Vincent Price starred in countless Hollywood horror movies, but it’s unclear whether the list price on his former Holmby Hills mansion will send potential buyers running.
The Spanish-style mansion hit the market for $21 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The current owner is billionaire Peter Sperling — son of the founder of the University of Phoenix — who purchased the estate for $14.95 million in 2004.
Located about a mile north of UCLA and the Playboy Mansion, the estate in Beverly Glen is 11,650 square feet, and has eight bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. The mansion features a library, a theater, a game room with a bar, a wine cellar and an art studio. The property spans 1.65 acres with a guesthouse, a tennis court and a swimming pool.
Timothy Di Prizito and Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker have the listing.
Price, whose movies included “House on Haunted Hill,” “House of Wax,” “Theatre of Blood,” and “Edward Scissorhands,” lived in the home in the 1960s. His voice was also featured in Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Price died in 1993.
