Lakefront owners seek rezoning

A group of 41 Palm Beach homeowners, most of whom live on North Lake Way, want a rezoning that would make it easier to expand their homes or build larger ones. The group had petitioned the city council for the change for three years to no avail. Then, on Tuesday, the property owners’ attorney told the Planning and Zoning Commission they have waited long enough, and the zoning board agreed, voting 6-1 to recommend the council put the matter on a list of zoning matters for study next season, to be considered in June.
