The Fort Lauderdale branch of luxury department store Saks Fifth Avenue will close July 20, the company announced. The 73,000-square-foot space at the Galleria Mall at 2414 East Sunrise Blvd. wasn’t profitable enough to remain open, Saks spokeswoman Julia Bentley said. Saks has stores in Boca Raton, Miami, Bal Harbour, Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. The company operates 54 Saks Fifth Avenue stores and 48 Saks Off 5th outlets.
