North Miami and Lauderdale Lakes are among the locations slated to lose
Starbucks outlets as the coffee company cuts 600 stores nationally.
North Miami Mayor Kevin Burns and Lauderdale Lakes community
redevelopment director Gary Rogers said they are trying to keep the
company from cutting off the flow of caffeine. Only three other outlets are scheduled to close in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, so real estate space won’t be broadly affected by the cutbacks.
