While the city tax rate in Miami Beach will decline for the second year in a row, the Miami-Dade County portion of homeowners’ tax bills will likely increase, meaning Miami Beach residents will see a slight rise in their overall tax bill next year. The city plans to reduce the property tax rate by one-tenth of 1 percent, to just over $5.89 per $1,000 of assessed property value. But the countywide tax rate would increase, from about $4.60 to $4.90 per $1,000 of assessed value.
