Boca Rep. Klein gets big financial services donations

U.S. Rep. Ron Klein of Boca Raton is the eighth-largest recipient of campaign contributions from finance, insurance and real estate interests, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. The nonpartisan research group found that Klein, a member of the Financial Services Committee who voted for the failed financial bailout bill on Monday, has taken in $789,238 in financial services industry money. That puts him at No. 8 in the 435-member House for the 2007-08 election cycle.
