The Omphoy Ocean Resort hotel, on track for an April 1 opening, will be the latest high-end entrant among tony Palm Beach’s accommodations. It’s the first new hotel development in 20 years on the island of Palm Beach, spokeswoman Kristen Vocelle says. The five-story, boutique-style hotel at 2842 South Ocean Boulevard will have 134 guest rooms, including presidential suites, and full beach access. It’s going up at the site of the former Hilton Palm Beach Oceanfront Resort, which operated temporarily as The O.C. Beach Club.
