Little loyalty from Miamians

A new Gallup survey says 45 percent of Miamians are unhappy with the community, its services and offerings and would leave if they could. The 2008 Soul of the Community study, funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, surveyed 26 communities between February 1 and April 27. It looked at those things that make people love where they live, including social/entertainment venues, how welcoming a place is and community aesthetics. The poll surveyed 1,505 Miamians. It found just 23 percent were loyal and connected to the community, while 32 percent lacked full loyalty, but saw some positive aspects of the community.
