Rates on 30-year mortgages fell for a fourth straight week, dropping below 6 percent for the first time since early October. Freddie Mac said rates on 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages dropped to 5.97 percent, down from 6.04 percent. For 15-year, fixed-rate mortgages, rates remained virtually flat at an average of 5.74 percent, compared to 5.73 percent last week.
