Shakeup at Revuelta Vega Leon

Revuelta Vega Leon, the architecture firm that’s played a major role in creating Miami’s skyline, has had one of its pillars removed. Founder Luis Revuelta has left the firm amid bitter disputes among top management. The firm designed Mint and Jade Residences at Brickell Bay, and now is in the midst of being dismantled in a lawsuit. The firm
RVL alleges that it competed for
work on projects with another firm started by Revuelta, and that Revuelta diverted fees from RVL’s work to his
own firm. In addition, RVL claims Revuelta spent RVL money on personal items, like meals, real estate and family vacations. Principals Nestor Vega and Bert Leon declined to comment.
