Housing more affordable in Palm Beach County

Housing affordability has increased in Palm Beach County, according to data from the National Association of Home Builders. Of the new and existing homes sold in the county in the fourth quarter of 2008, 53.5 percent were affordable for a family making the median income of $66,000, versus 47.8 percent in the third quarter. Affordability was at its lowest point, 28.8 percent, in 2006.
