Palm Beach County approves new affordable housing

Palm Beach County commissioners approved two developments today that
will create a total of 240 affordable homes. The 265-unit Andalucia development,
between Lyons Road and Florida’s Turnpike, will include 84 affordable
homes. At the Woodwind development, at the northeast corner of
Woodwind Lane and State Road 7, there will be 156 affordable
apartments out of 202 total units. But some local residents argued
that foreclosures have driven down prices enough to make housing more
affordable in general.
