March 19, 2009 05:30PM

After four hours of discussion, Miami city commissioners today voted 3-2 in favor of financing the new Florida Marlins baseball stadium. Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones, who cast the deciding vote, said she supported the project because it would create jobs. Two commissioners, Tomas Regalado and Mark Sarnoff, voted against the deal because of concerns about funding. The Miami-Dade County Commission will vote on the deal on Monday.
