Palm Beach County’s Office of Equal Opportunity is investigating whether Alston Management violated fair housing laws when it asked residents in the Pahokee area with children under age 18 to move. These residents, who were renters, were allegedly told by Alston and by a ministry that they would face eviction if they did not move. Their spaces were taken over in December by a community of ex-prison inmates. The investigation is expected to be finished in November.
