The Florida attorney general’s office is suing four Miami companies that allegedly charged customers as much as $2,995 upfront for loan modification services, a practice that is against Florida law. The four companies are Mortgage Crisis Solutions Association, Property Solutions Specialists, One Source Communications and Nationwide Financial Partners. The state has already gotten an injunction to freeze the assets of Mortgage Crisis Solutions. Attorney General Bill McCollum said the mortgage fraud crisis was similar to a “state of emergency.”
