The salvation of the busted upscale Tesoro development in Port St. Lucie won’t come in motorized golf carts, but on four legs. Glenn Straub, the investor who bought the project out of bankruptcy, said the horse crowd could play a role in picking up activity there. He owns the Palm Beach Polo Golf & Country Club in Wellington and wants to build barns, show rings and training rings and allow it to serve as a satellite to horsey Wellington. Celebration-based Ginn Co., Tesoro’s developer, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection for the community, which it started building in 2003, in December.
