Blanca Commercial Real Estate will be the exclusive leasing agent for 1450 Brickell, Miami’s most highly environmentally certified office building. Developer Rilea Group expects to open 1450 Brickell early next year and is seeking LEED “gold” status for the 586,000-square-foot building. It’s the first big deal for Tere Blanca, who left Cushman & Wakefield to head out on her own. She said both tenant and landlord stability remains critical in a volatile market. The vacancy rate in the Brickell corridor in the first quarter measured 11.3 percent, with asking rents just above $37 per square foot, according to CB Richard Ellis. The local average for office vacancy measures 11.4 percent, with class A reaching 10 percent through the first quarter and asking rents falling to just above $30 per square foot, CBRE said. TRD
