The number of South Florida homes available for resale has dropped 16.6 percent since November, according to a report from Condo Vultures, a real estate consultancy. The number of single-family homes, condominium units and townhouses now available for resale stands at less than 90,000. In the week ending April 27, the number of available resales dropped by 0.8 percent, or 708 homes, week-over-week. Single-family homes are coming off the resale market more quickly than condominium and townhouse units, said Peter Zalewski, principal at Condo Vultures. The single-family home market was not as overbuilt as the condominium market during the boom, he said. TRD
