The Associated Press reported in a weekend survey that high-income workers have dispersed from financial centers to places where they would ordinarily keep second homes. Florida is one such destination for mobile high earners, the survey said. The 1,000 most affluent counties in the country had an average per capita income of $58,691 as of the end of 2007. Tim Green and his wife, Loretta, who live in Marathon, Fla., in the Florida Keys, run a software business there and said it’s now easier to convince clients to head south for consultations than go to them, especially during the winter.
