Condominium associations should prepare for hurricane season with disaster plans that include delegating responsibilities for dealing with damage and setting up financial strategies in advance. Kyle Hooper, an attorney with Fort Lauderdale-based Atkinson, Diner, Stone, Mankuta & Ploucha, said established strategies put forward before a crisis should be part of National Hurricane Preparedness Week, which runs through Saturday.
