A judge will rule this morning on the length of former Palm Beach County Commissioner Mary McCarty’s prison term, deciding whether the corrupt former politician will serve as many as five years. McCarty, an 18-year commission veteran, was convicted of theft of honest services in the contracting process for a county convention center and hotel. Fellow former commissioners Toni Masilotti and Warren Newell were sentenced to five-year terms.
