Oceanfront hotel makes progress

A revamp of Palm Beach’s comprehensive plan could let redevelopment of the Palm Beach Oceanfront Inn proceed, but more approvals are needed. The town council sent the plan on to state regulators after a Monday night vote this week that amended the hotel owner’s plans, putting a height restriction of 96 feet on the Kosava Realty Corp. project. Pjeter Paloka, a member of the family that owns the inn, said redevelopment plans were intended to get the best use of the property. The amended plans have been sent to the Department of Community Affairs in Tallahassee for review.
