LXR hired Coral Gables-based Coastal Systems International, a consulting firm, to address environmental issues in the area, according to a press release. One Thousand Ocean’s lighting has been modified to make it turtle-friendly. So as not to misdirect the turtles away from the ocean, the lighting will be filtered so that only 45 percent of the building’s interior light will make its way outside.
