Florida had 268,064 foreclosure filings, and ranked second nationally for total foreclosures, rising 42 percent from last year. Broward County ranked fourth in filings, with 36,654 filings, or one in every 22 homes. Miami-Dade had the seventh spot, with 34,442 foreclosure filings, or one in every 28 homes. Palm Beach was on the low end of the scale, at No. 45, with 14,303 filings, or one in every 45 homes. Nationwide, the filing rate rose 15 percent from the first half of 2008.
