South Florida’s fine dining restaurants have suffered big hits in the recession, and the casualty list in Miami alone reads like a top-tier guidebook from 2006: Charcuterie in the Design District closed after 20 years in business. Tuscan Steak, Table 8, Legal Sea Foods, Brosia, Food Gang and Armadillo Beach also closed. In a down market, filling those spaces — which have been modified to meet unique restaurant needs — could prove difficult. [Miami Herald]
