Miami’s conference and convention business is no longer in freefall, but experts believe it will take several years to return to pre-crisis levels. Ita Moriarty, senior vice president of convention sales at the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, said hotels are seeing their convention business stabilize, but corporations are spending less and seeking lower profiles. Miami will host both the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl games, with the National Football League games estimated to account for 56,000 room nights. About 152,000 room nights are booked for next year.
