Mortech sued over Google mortgage program

August 27, 2009 01:14PM

LendingTree filed suit against Mortech two days ago, alleging that the technology firm helped develop a Google mortgage software program, violating its exclusive contract with LendingTree, an automated lending service. In the suit, LendingTree claims that Mortech began working with Google on a loan aggregation service that will reportedly launch late this month or in September. The lawsuit also says that LendingTree has screen shots of Google’s trial lending aggregation software, which LendingTree believes validate its claims. A hearing to evaluate the suit is slated for Sept. 2 in the Charlotte, NC, federal court.
