Building Equity has launched a new program that aims to help rent-regulated building owners take advantage of incentives for making major capital improvements to buildings, such as waterproofing and electrical work. In a statement in a press release sent yesterday, Building Equity Partner Michael Vinocur said that many building owners feel intimidated by the process of filing for allowable rent increases after making building changes. “Many owners are intimidated by the process of getting the work done and have no idea how to file for the allowable rent increases from MCIs,” Vinocur said. “These are the people we want to help.” TRD
