One Thousand Ocean in Boca Raton was finally completed at
the end of February, after four years of changing ownership and
contentious battles with neighbors. In the three weeks since, there
have been more than $45 million in closings on units in the building,
which is situated on a private peninsula and extends from the Atlantic
Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway. The seven-story, 52-unit building,
which was developed by LXR Luxury Resorts, is now 65 percent sold.
Prices at One Thousand Ocean run from $3 million to $15 million. The
ultimate success of the building comes in stark contrast to that of the
Eden condominium, also in Boca Raton, which was recently purchased by a new developer after a series of problems left it incomplete. TRD
