Two more arrests in Palm Beach construction bribery scandal

Two more construction executives have been nabbed in an investigation into a Town of Palm Beach corruption scandal surrounding contracts for town projects. Last week, the town’s construction manager, Steven White, was arrested for allegedly receiving nearly $250,000 in kickbacks from construction companies that were awarded contracts for public projects. Today’s arrests targeted two high-level employees of Dee Griffin Earthworks — vice president Steve MacDonald and director Janis Griffin — for alleged bribery of public officials. White confessed to having received kickbacks from MacDonald that Griffin knew about after his arrest, according to police documents. [Palm Beach Post]
