The $46.5 million Colorado ranch
The biggest residential sale of the year in the U.S. thus far has been recorded, with the purchase of a $46.5 million, 3,500-acre Pagosa Springs area Colorado ranch, according to the Wall Street Journal. The property, which includes a 14,000-square-foot main house and an 82-foot-long swimming pool, was sold at a relative bargain, when compared to its original asking price of $88 million. The buyer, Texas energy executive Kelcy Warren, plans to use the property as a private retreat, according to Warren’s broker Bill Fandel of Peaks Real Estate Sotheby’s International Realty. [WSJ]
