Imperioli stars in foreclosure horror flick
Former “Sopranos” mainstay Michael Imperioli is starring in a horror-thriller movie set on a foreclosure-ridden block of Jamaica, Queens.
Filming for the movie “Foreclosure” is set to start next week.
According to the movie’s website, “‘Foreclosure’ is the story of a broken family striving to stay together while a curse and the ghosts of a haunted house try to tear them apart.”
The backdrop is a block “in which nearly every house sits vacant and bank-owned,” according to a press release. It wasn’t immediately clear which block it is.
Queens has been called the “Ground Zero” of the New York foreclosure crisis, with Jamaica drawing a lot of attention for its steep number of foreclosures.
The current mortgage crisis, in large part, inspired writer-director Richard Ledes to write the script.
The cast also includes Wendell Pierce and Bill Raymond.
Ledes’ past work includes the movie “A Hole in One,” starring Michelle Williams, and “The Caller,” with Frank Langella. “City Island” producer Ged Dickersin is producing the movie. TRD
