In a rare victory, a group of feral cats has successfully halted a bulldozer — at least temporarily. The dozen stray felines, who had made the foreclosed Art Deco hotel on Ocean Drive in Miami their home, faced homelessness — or worse — after demolition began on their forsaken abode. But after animal activists protested the move, lender TD Bank, which foreclosed on the hotel last summer, agreed to put off the demolition until the cats were safely transported from the building to a shelter.
