Former media mogul Conrad Black will be able to stay in his mansion in
Palm Beach thanks to a recent property deal. Thomas Fristch, as
secretary of Blackfield Holdings, conveyed title to Black’s home at 1930
South Ocean Boulevard for $10 million to LJC Holdings of Media, PA.,
according to the terms of a special warranty deed filed last Tuesday. An anonymous Blackfield official said the company is “happy
Conrad will be able to stay at the house and maintain his interest in
it.” Black was recently released on bail from the Coleman Federal
Correction Complex after the U.S. Supreme Court changed the scope of one
of the laws on which he was convicted. He has been at the home awaiting
an appeal from Sept. 29. [Palm
