New home for Coral Gables Museum

The new Coral Gables Museum

The Coral Gables Museum has a new home set to open Oct. 10, when it moves into
the site of a 1939 building on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Old Police and Fire Station at 285 Aragon Avenue in Coral Gables
was built in 1939 and was recently restored. The site will house the
Coral Gables Museum, which used to be located at  275 Giralda Avenue,
the Coral Gables Historical Resources Department and the Raul
Valdes-Fauli Archives. The overhaul of the building involved a
restoration and renovation, along with the addition of a
3,000-square-foot gallery space in an adjacent parking lot. [Miami
