U.S. construction spending down 10 percent from 2009 levels

U.S. construction spending is down from 2009 levels, while remaining relatively flat month-to-month, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s September construction market report, released today. Spending hit a seasonally adjusted rate of $801.7 billion in September, down 10.4 percent from the same month a year earlier, when the rate was at $894.8 billion. Compared to August, which saw a rate of $797.5 billion, spending saw a .5 percent uptick. TRD
