Former Century Village prez charged with pilfering $33K from condo board

The former president of the condo board at West Palm Beach’s massive Century Village retirement community has been charged with larceny after allegedly gambling away more than $33,000 over seven years from the building’s accounts. Rosemary Darrigan, 71, was arrested yesterday after a fellow board member discovered the scheme. A report from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said Darrigan had been putting funds from the association management firm into her personal bank account since 2005 and using them to fund her lifestyle, though she herself wasn’t making regular condo fee payments. [Palm Beach Post]
