Palm Beach Post real estate reporter Kimberly Miller was on hand today to offer advice and insight on the fraught world of South Florida foreclosures. Surprisingly, mediation appears to be a mixed bag for Floridians in foreclosure, despite some homeowners’ eagerness to seek the option. The Collins Center had “7,757 mediations [slated for] Miami-Dade County during the first few months of the year,” Miller said, but “of those, 5,260 people either chose not to participate or couldn’t be found.” She added that while many experts are divided on what could possibly solve housing market woes nationwide, many agree that the foreclosure crisis’ “end date keeps getting pushed back.” [Palm Beach Post]
