Homeowner files robo-signer suit

Homeowner Gerta Kachko, who lost her job in 2008, three years after she
had taken out a mortgage on a second home in Hollywood, went into
foreclosure after missing several months of payments. But she was
confused when she received a filing from Deutsche Bank, when the lender
who had given her the original note was from American Home Mortgage
Servicing. Kachko then launched a legal battle to fight the foreclosure.
Finally, after initially losing, Judge Eli Breger granted an order
canceling Kachko’s foreclosure. [Sun
